Bratislava Region is located in western Slovakia, borders on Austria, Hungary and Trnava Region (Trnavský kraj). The land is made up of Zahorska lowland (Záhorská nížina) in the west, Little Carpathians (Malé Karpaty) mountains stretches from the south-west to the north-east, and the eastern and south-eastern part covers Danubian Lowland (Podunajská nížina).
