Territories of European Importance
It is an important area within the Natura 2000 network, which is declared for the protection of natural habitats, wild animals and wild plants. These areas consist of one or more localities where habitats or species of European importance are located, for the protection of which these protected areas are declared. Habitats include, for example, alpine grasslands on silicate substrate, beech and fir-beech flowering forests, Pannonian oak-hornbeam forests, mountain hay meadows, mountain pine forests, heaths and species such as the lesser viper, the maned bison, the wolf of prey, the common bat, and the mountain chamois.
